The fix PC gamers are looking for with Arkham Knight is coming, but it’s not anytime soon.

I, personally, have been enjoying my time as the Dark Knight on PS4, and Arkham Knight has been one of the best console gaming experiences I’ve had since the Tomb Raider reboot. But what about PC gamers? Well, we all know that’s a much different story.

Since most every large gaming retailer worldwide – as well as Steam, of course – made the decision to stop all sales of Arkham Knight, many wondered just how long it would take to fix one of Rocksteady’s biggest messes of all time.

Remember when you thought this is what you’d be getting on launch day?

Now it’s being discovered, thanks to a memo sent to Australian EB Games employees, that relief isn’t coming until maybe late fall.

As previously advised, we have stopped sales of Batman: Arkham Knight PC while Warner and Rocksteady work on addressing performance issues with the game. The latest information from Warner is that the updates won’t be available until Spring. Due to this we have made the difficult decision to recall all PC stock from stores to return to the vendor until an acceptable solution is released.

Note: Spring in Australia, which is in the Southern Hemisphere, correlates to autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.

Let’s say the patch is somewhat complete by early September; I wouldn’t expect the release to be until late September/early October. The very last thing Warner Bros. and Rocksteady want to do is drop patches that won’t work.

What exactly are they working on? That’s still to be seen. Many speculate that the majority of the fine details of the game will be left out, so that Rocksteady can still capitalize on DLC opportunities.
