Bane’s voice on the mend?

6

According to reports out of Cinemacon in Las Vegas, NV, several clips from the soon-to-be-released The Dark Knight Rises were presented to audience members, and it appears by several accounts that Christopher Nolan has buckled under the pressure from fans: Bane’s voice is now clear.

According to Jim Vejvoda over at IGN.com, “Bane was not muffled at all now. Indeed, I feel confident saying he was crystal clear now! So we can finally lay those “mumbling” memes to rest.

Even-though Nolan, who isn’t one to let fans dictate the direction he takes his films in, originally said Bane’s voice would remain unaltered, it appears he’s given in.

Stay tuned, however, because we can expect a lengthier new trailer before The Avengers in most markets, so you be the judge of the vocal clarity. We’ll post the trailer when it becomes available online.

I agree. I think subtitles would’ve been perfectly fine at the very most. After all, you think Bane and Bats are going to have deep conversation as HE BREAKS HIS FREAKIN’ BACK?!?

Look, I was a huge fan of Dark Knight, but Batman’s voice did sound a little much. It didn’t take away from the experience as I watched the movie, but it did make for some jokes later on that sort of detracted from my memory of the film. If altering Bane’s voice now can save me from having that experience again, then I’m alright with it.

You make an incredibly good point, and honestly if there is anything that trivializes this movie I’m gonna be mad. This movie has to be the apex of what Nolan can do with Batman, although I still think that if Ledger hadn’t died we’d be seeing lots of Bats/Joker for years to come.

Well thank you for your comment on my comment. I think seeing Heath’s Joker a few more times would have been great, but for a fan of the books, I really hope that Nolan ends this Batman/Bane storyline in the most logical way possible from the story point of view instead of leaving it too open for some other person to mess it up later.

Don’t you assume that’s the case with all that’s been released about the film? I’ll be incredibly surprised if Bats doesn’t meet his demise.
