Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn resigns (and looks like a walrus)

Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn resigned this week amid allegations of personal misconduct that the company states was unrelated to their financial woes. Their financial woes come from strict competition from Amazon (who doesn’t have to bother with the finance of running brick and mortar stores) and Apple who some people think is cooler. Okay, so most of the world think they’re cooler. Anyways, Best Buy has lost 55% of it’s value in the past five years with sluggish sales and lays off hitting many stores and employees. An interim CEO has been named from the board of directors until a decision can be reached on a new CEO.

Now come on, the real issue is why a walrus was able to dress as a man and be a CEO of a company. Did they not notice the fish he ate everyday? Or the need to lay in the sun to dry his scaly walrus skin?

It saddens me to watch the death throes of major chain like best buy, but it’s to be expected when they try to couple retail with a sub par tech service like Geek Squad…
