Well, the failure of Battleship has claimed another, unlikely victim: G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been pushed back from it’s original June 29th, 2012 release date all the way to March 29th, 2013!
Hasbro and Paramount, which are currently taking a bath at the movies with the box office failure of Battleship, say the delay is to convert the movie into 3D in hopes that it will increase the appeal of the movie overseas, where 3D is a big draw. Most industry insiders are pretty sure the reason is because they couldn’t risk another bomb so soon after Battleship set sail.

I’ve been on the fence about G.I. Joe: Retaliation, especially since they fired pretty much every single cast member from the first movie and essentially started over for the sequel, but I would’ve still be there opening night to see it.
Are you disappointed in the move, or could you care less about the Joes?
blah! Lame… 3D is over rated….
I agree… I enjoyed 2D Avengers more than the 3D version. -Jared
So you watched the Avengers in 2D and 3D? Was Avengers shot in 3D or was it a 2D movie with added 3D effects?
