No Spidey, no problem? Rumor has it that Sony may be considering an Aunt May solo movie.
That’s right, an Aunt May movie sans Spider-Man. I’ll give you a minute to digest that.
Done? OK. Word is that Sony is considering an espionage tale featuring a young Aunt May set in the early sixties. I guess Richard Parker isn’t the only government agent in the family. No word on whether blue collar working schlub Ben Parker may make an appearance.
Marvel has tried this route before with a romance comic called Trouble back in 2003. Apparently, it ended with the reveal that May was Peter Parker’s biological mother. Yeah, I’ve never heard of it either. Anyway, let’s hope they don’t go in that direction.
