By the Power of Grayskull! Are you ready for another live action adaptation of Masters of the Universe?
Remember the 80s? Big hair, shoulder pads, He-Man? Masters of the Universe was a mainstay of my childhood, and it was one of those cartoons I never missed. I had several action figures, as did my friends. A live action film was released in 1987, but it was a commercial and critical flop.
Now word has come that a new live action film based on the Masters of the Universe is in the works. Director Jeff Wallowa — best known for Kick Ass 2 — announced via Twitter that he’s turned in a script for the new movie. Producer Devon Franklin even tweeted a picture of the cover sheet of the script.
No word yet on a release date, or even if Wadlow will direct. If he is in, he’s got a X-Force movie in the works for Fox also. How excited are you for another MOTU movie? Hoping we get some serious Orko action this time around? Can we bring back Meg Foster’s eyes? Comments below.
@JustUsGeeks My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th birthday cakes speak for themselves. I am quite excited. #Heman #Ihavethepower
