Maurice Sendak – King of the Wild Things
While this isn’t exactly geek news, we are all incredibly saddened to learn about the passing of illustrator Maurice Sendak, most famous for Where The Wild Things Are.
At some point in your life you’ve read this book, and hopefully in return you’ve read it to someone else. The 2009 film, while not drawing the best of reviews, served as a great re-telling of the classic brought to life.
Marty said it best this morning: “But the wild things cried, ‘Oh please don’t go! We’ll eat you up, we love you so!’ #RIP Maurice Sendak”
Thank you Mr. Sendak for helping all of us find our inner wild thing…and getting us home in time for dinner.
