What happens when you combine retro games and Adam Sandler? Well…the jury is still out.

Mixed reviews are coming in for Adam Sandler’s latest film, Pixels, which opens in wide release this Friday. Sandler is making the late night rounds touting the movie, while those who have already seen the film seem to have mixed opinions.

Pixels hits the geek and pop culture communities right in the sweet spot, with its mix of classic gaming references, as well as a decent cast surrounding Sandler. Directed by the amazing Chris Columbus, Pixels has an interesting concept. “When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games.”; but how does it play out? Is it worth taking a chance on another Adam Sandler film?
