Street Fighter X Tekken X DLC?

2

Do you like DLC?  You know, downloadable content, otherwise known as the stuff that should’ve been in your game in the first place?  Sure you do!  That’s why Capcom has decided that it needs to sell costumes, combos, music, and other completely ridiculous content online.  Want to know what’s worse?  With it’s new release, Street Fighter X Tekken, all the content is ALREADY ON THE DISC!  That means when you buy the DLC off Xbox Live or PS Network, all you are doing is adding a line of code to your game data that “unlocks” the content that’s already there.

Does this make anyone else mad, or is it just me?  It’s bad enough that a $60 game nowadays has $20 or more of downloadable content that you have to buy to keep playing the game online with your friends (I’m looking at you, Halo, Call of Duty, and others), but this is just ridiculous.  The content: characters, costumes, combos, and all, is already there.  Tell me why it couldn’t be available from day 1, and I have to pay more money for a complete game?!

If you want all the details, head on over to Joystiq for the rest of the story.

I don’t know what’s worse: the fact that almost all of the content is already on the disc, or that we’re waiting six months for the Vita release just to get access to a dozen more characters that also already exist.

The fact that it’s open from day 1 on Vita is just a slap in there of console owners. I’d say that I wish that Capcom would go under but that would mean no more Mega Man.
