Teaser Images of MP-12 Masterpiece Sideswipe revealed, along with upcoming Arms Micron figures

2

Sweet and glorious day!  Thanks to board member Gaokaiser over at TFW2005, we have our first photos of MP-12, otherwise known as Masterpiece Sideswipe (or Lambor, to our overseas friends).  If the picture above is to be believed, the beloved Masterpiece line will see a reduction in size for it’s figures.  The question is: will a reduction in size also mean a reduction in price point?  Also teased in the above image is the next Masterpiece figure.  It’s hard to tell by the silhouette, but some are speculating that it might be Soundwave or Shockwave.  These are figures that fans have been wanting for a long time, but I’m going to go on record and call Sunstreaker on this one, only because TakaraTomy/Hasbro likes to reuse molds, and it would be cheap to retool the figure in Sideswipe’s brother.

Want pics of the Arms Micron guys, including our first look at Breakdown in color?  You’ll have to take the jump!

Breakdown with a minicon that turns into his hammer!  Knock Out with minicon that looks to turn into his engine!  Starscream horribly transformed with a minicon that looks like Soundwave!

Yep, Vehicon still looks awesome.

UPDATE: Corrected the call number for Masterpiece Sideswipe/Lambor.  It should be MP-12, not MP-13.

I’m pretty stoked about a Masterpiece Sideswipe, but if they’re doin’ Soundwave I want that mess now. I’d eat nothing but Poffins for a week to get one. They could pretty much keep the G1 transformation scheme and just add articulation (and include a “Masterpiece” Ravage or Rumble) and I’d be happy, even if they’re doomed to be downscaled yet again.

Well, the current speculation on price is $140. To me, that’s just too high for this size figure.
