Are you waxing nostalgic for your favorite characters from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away? We have just the thing for you.
Madam Tussauds famous wax museum has just added a Star Wars exhibit, which features 16 characters from the 6 movies so far. You can explore 11 scenes from the various films, including Yoda’s swamp, Jabba’s palace (complete with slave girl Leia), or insert yourself into Luke’s place during the scene where he reveals Luke’s true parentage.
The project took over 180 artists somewhere around a year to complete. Principal sculptor Stephen Mansfield said, “We’ve faithfully recreated it.” While most of the characters required one person working six weeks to insert the real human hair used in statues, everyone’s favorite Wookie co-pilot, Chewbacca, required ten people working more than one thousand hours to complete.
The Star Wars exhibit opened Saturday, and it sounds awesome! Are you guys already booking your trip to London? Comment us below.
