After finishing the first season of transformers prime, I realized I had no idea what was going on in the transformers universe, the show is based on the Micheal Bay movies, becuase the model for bumblebee is excactly the same, but obviously pretty loosely based because, spoilers, Megatron is killed in the end of the third movie, as well as Starscream, and they are both in the show. Then there is also the game, dark energon played a pretty big part in destroying cybertron, but in the show megatron comes back to earth from space with dark energon and Starscream is awe stucken a if he has never seen it before. Then there is also the part in the end of the show where you find that optimus primes name was Orion, and that after he went to the core of cybertron he changed his name to optimus, but in the game he was named Optimus from the start of the game which was way before he went to the core and it’s never even mentioned that Optimus wasn’t his original name. And all of that would be fine, I could just leave them all as like a seperate thing altogether, but in a article written in 2old2play.com Aaron Archer, Hasbro Vice President of intellectual property development, says “The new cartoon series, the novels, and both Cybertron games are all official canon.” how can this be when there are so many inconsistencies. Can you guys help me out here? Thank you guys. And by the way, I don’t think you talk about transformers enough, so forget all those people wining that you talk about it to much. Keep it up guys, I can’t wait for the next podcast.

Insert to sentance seven- also Starscream was guarding the only last deposit of dark energon in war for cybertron, so he would know more than anyone next to megatron about dark energon, so why would he be talking about dark energon in transformers prim as if it was old myth?

    Marty,

We missed you lots and lots on episode twelve. Sorry we sounded like jerks previously. My question to you this week is this: in an ideal ninja turtles movie, who would you guys cast to play the parts of our heroes in a half-shell? Tough, question I thought. Love the podcast.
