Tribes.
That word is important if you played PC games like ever in your whole life. Even the console ports of the vaunted series have been pretty good. The seeds planted by this game can be seen in the multiplayer experiences of lots of games today (like halo) and frankly I still feel like old school tribes 2 is the best shooter of all time. Go ahead and argue with me, I”ll fly off in my jetpack and steal your flag. Oh wait, you can do that Halo? Well I did it in tribes first like 50 years ago.

Tribes 2 is by far the best, with vengeance being a close second. I’m not about to start a rant on the poor console iterations…
