In a world of reboots, we knew this was going to happen, right?
“It’s-a me, Mario!” Might we get to see everyone’s favorite video game plumbers on the big screen again?
A new batch of insider goodies leaked from the Sony jack has revealed that Sony is in negotiations with Nintendo to bring an animated Mario Bros feature to the big screen. Producer Avi Arad apparently sent several emails to Sony Studio Chief Amy Pascal about creating an animated feature film.
Of course these are just negotiations. Even if Nintendo and Sony reach a deal, we’re years out from seeing the actual movie. Still, though – this is exciting news, especially considering that the last time we saw this iconic duo was in the 1993 live action adaptation. This is bound to be better than that, right?
What do you guys think about this? Excited for more Mario? Ready to see Luigi’s death stare on the big screen? Sound off in the comments below!
