How many possible spin-offs can one movie franchise have? And no, this isn’t Star Wars.
Sony Pictures has announced that they are in the very early stages of planning a female driven spinoff of their popular 21 Jump Street series. Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs are rumored to be developing the script.
Obviously there are no details yet – however, the tone of this film will be similar to the original film. In addition to this film in the works, Sony also has a Men In Black crossover with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. It’s not clear at this time whether or not Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, or Josh Brolin will be making appearances in this silver screen shared universe.
Also on the horizon is 23 Jump Street, a continuation of the series.
