Josh here; listen up. It’s been 216 consecutive weeks since we breathed some wing-flavored life into this podcast. 2-1-6. 216 weeks of no breaks. 216 weeks of thinking about what we’re going to talk about. 216 weeks of good times. 216 weeks of bad times.
First and foremost, this week’s podcast is not about Hamilton, the soon-to-be Tony winner of everything they’ve got a trophy for. I said it would be on Wednesday in our Facebook group, and because of a technical difficulty that only I can blame myself for, an incredibly great show, featuring Emily and longtime guest of the podcast Dan Marsh, just wasn’t able to be used this week.
I’ve had a lot of time over the last few days, today especially, to think about the podcast and what it even means to me anymore. After today’s huge technical snafu I decided to do something I never thought I would ever do. I actually repeated it to myself aloud, and for some reason was okay with my decision.
And then I wasn’t.
If you’ve been listening to this show for the last 216 weeks, 100 weeks, or even just 5 please take the time to listen to this episode. Fair warning: yes, it’s just me for 38 minutes. It didn’t seem like 38 minutes while I was recording it, but now that length of time seems daunting to have to listen to one guy for that long.
Old friends, new friends, and special folks that have helped JUG accomplish it’s goals along the way: this one is for you.
