He’s the Deion Sanders of Transformers. It’s Prime Time with Martimus Prime!
Marty here, back with a treasure trove of Transformers tidbits to both tantalize and total your wallets! With San Diego Comic Con gearing up today, we should have plenty of news to share, especially since there will be a Hasbro panel at the con that promises to show off some new product, just like last year. However, before we get into that, let’s get into all the news you can use this week!
Transformers Prime Beast Hunters:
Target resets are beginning for the fall and that means that the chain’s exclusive line “Predacons Rising” is hitting shelves in various areas. If you’ve been holding out to buy a Predaking figure until the ultra huge version came out with lights and sounds, I’d go check your local Target right now because that’s the only place you’re going to find this badboy. Sightings are popping up from everything from the Cyberverse two-packs, the Abominus giftset, Sky Lynx, and even Predaking himself!
Also for Beast Hunters fans, the standalone movie “Predacons Rising” has been given a release date!
The blu-ray version will drop on October 1, while the DVD version shows up a week later on October 8. We have no idea if that’s a typo or if it’s the delay is intentional, but if you’ve got a blu-ray player you can watch it a whole week earlier than everyone else, it seems! Along with the release date, a synopsis of the movie has leaked as well, which we’ve provided below:

A resurrected UNICRON has taken over the now-lifeless body of MEGATRON to seek vengeance on the AUTOBOTS and ultimately, the destruction of Cybertron. For fans of Transformers Comics, Regeneration One #93 was released yesterday, and can be picked up both in print form or digitally from the IDW or Comixology apps, or iBooks.
Transformers: Rescue Bots
After months of the show not having a new episode, and no new product on the shelves, a surprise release snuck out in the form of a new, larger, Optimus Prime with a car carrier trailer that can hold 4 other Rescue Bots. The toy was found at Target and is pretty massive, along with the Optimus Prime mold being closer to the animation model. More Rescue Bots merchandise was also shown at SDCC, which you can see below.
San Diego Comic Con Transformers Images:
Plenty of images from SDCC 13 are already rolling in, because Hasbro has a massive showcase there showing off not only new figures but also collectibles and other upcoming goodies.
