Hot on the heels of our posted preview image yesterday, here is the full scan of the page showing the upcoming MP-12 Masterpiece Lambor/Sideswipe. A few interesting things to note about this mold are:
1. He’s definitely going to be smaller than your typical Masterpiece mold. Judging by the comparison to Optimus Prime, Sideswipe will be around the size of the figures released in the Alternators line a few years ago.
2. He is very, VERY faithful to his G1 aesthetic. Seems a lot like the G1 toy, actually, just with more detail and most likely more articulation.
3. It’s very interesting that they show the back of the figure. It seems as if they are designing it a lot like the CHUG (Classics/Henkei/Universe/Generations) Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold that was released a couple of years ago.
Also of note, the silhouette in the bottom left corner, which is being speculated to be Masterpiece Soundwave. Maybe that’s the next release, or maybe we are just seeing the mold reused as Sunstreaker? Only time will tell.
