The network that brought you The Walking Dead has ordered a pilot for Preacher.
Word has come that AMC has ordered a pilot for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s take on the popular comic property. The pair will be executive producing along with comic creators Garth (the legend) Innis and Steve Dillon. Breaking Bad writer Sam Catlin wrote the script.
Preacher is the story of a Texas minister who loses his faith, merges with a heavenly creature, joins forces with a vampiric ex-girlfriend, and searches for God, who has abandoned heaven and mankind. The comic has been a cult hit since it debuted in the 90’s.
